Weather

Moderate snow throughout the day. Cloudy with short breaks of moderate sunshine. Wind was 5-10mph, no visible blowing snow accumulation throughout the day. Evidence of significant wind transport was visible from overnight and early morning.

Snowpack

Dug a pit on an east aspect. HS was 140cm; pit was in a location that would make the snowpack height unlikely to be influenced much by wind loading. ECTP25 on basal facets 35-40cm from the ground. PST35/100 End on same layer. Persistent weak layer is hard to trigger, but will run big if triggered, with readily propagated skier trigger potential. See SnowPilot diagram below for layers and test results.
