Quick report

Climbed Professor Falls Sunday, Jan 31st. Winds were calm all day on the route, cloudy skies and temp -10 leaving to approach / +2 in the afternoon back at car. No evidence of any recent avalanche activity below or on the climb, including on the slope below / approach to the final pitch or in the terrain above the final pitch (for as much that can be seen from the upper chain belay station). Snowed lightly for around 45 minutes - hour at 12.30. This cleared up but left a visible heavier accumulation at higher elevations on Mt Rundle. Winds noticeably increased in the area, at lower elevations, as we hiked back out along the river trail/golf course. Ice - Climb is in an expected, for this time of season, well trodden condition, with a packed down trail to the route. Bike/trail runners recommended for comfortable approach. Mountain bike, even without studs, would be useful if only just for the first part of approach (golf course road).
