Skied in to cabin Feb 4 heavy rain changed to heavy snow with elevation gain, ski pen around cabin was 40+cm "wedge of doom" weight to it. Next few days were stormy, winds south SW moderate to strong. Numerous large settlements (Whoomphs) while hiking about at treeline and below. One size one natural pocket came out over night of Feb 6 leeward east feature on shoulder of 4811. Rain crust below 700meters softened up over the days we were there. Ski out had a spring like feel to it.
