Aerial flight to look at West Canoe FSR south of Valemount. All observations were from the air. Most activity is suspected to have occured during rain event Jan 2, 2021 that gave 20mm rain to Valemount valley bottom.

Large deposits suspect from Jan 2. Some Storm slabs ran to bottom of tracks, stopping in upper runnouts and tracks. Still very thin snowpack at valley bottom/lake elevations. Snow accumulating above 1100m, ~ 20-30cm. A few thin small slabs at about 1300m, not running far. Visibility was not great today as system moved in early morning.
