Snow Conditions
crusty, hard

Went for a poke to see conditions in the Panorama Peak area. Faceting around a rock step kept us from skiing the Trident in full. Variable conditions in steep terrain: facets, breakable crust, and supportive crust. Recommend taking it slow so when you kiss those rocks you aren't falling head over heels in love. Just a touch of new snow (graupel) overnight and a hint of rime in the morning accumulating in total to nearly 0.5 cm at Taylor Lake! Wind picked up throughout the day with a small amount of transport at ridge top. Temps stayed chilly in the shade ~-8°C. Snowpack has rotted fully into facets with a notable surface hoar layer on top in most areas travelled through. Ski out on Taylor Lake trail is in okay condition. Quite a few rocks showing but it isn't spicy icy yet.
