Weather

Dream Lake, SE aspect, 10,000ft. Clear skies and light winds out the west in the morning gave way to increasing clouds around 2pm. Skies quickly became overcast after 2pm with light snowfall and moderate winds out of the W/NW. Temps in the mid teens for most of the day.

Snowpack

Snowpack depths ranging from 75-150+ cm's in the 10,000ft elevation band on aspects N-NE and S-SE. South and Southeast aspects have a pronounced melt freeze crust (crust facet combo) buried down 50-55cm's from the surface. This layer interface was producing propagating test results ( ECTP16 ) below this crust facet combo layer. Depth hoar 2-3mm sized advanced facets observed in the bottom 30-40cm's of the snowpack.
