Intermittent sun and high temps with about 12” of new snow overnight on 4/25-26
Snowpack
Snow around the dust/crust layer still felt wet on 4/25. New snow on 4/26 was sliding on the dust layer.
Avalanche
Multiple wet slab type failures on 4/26 on S and SE aspects between 10,000ft and 12,000ft where the dust layer was most prominent. Some were naturally triggered from wet loose snow then propagated. This crack was a failure on the dust layer on SE aspect on 4/25 that broke roughly 50ft above me.
