Weather

Overcast with periods of light snow and low visibility. Temps in the 20s with little to no wind.

Snowpack

Unsupportive and variable snowpack below 10,500ft. Collapsing occurred on open flat terrain.

Avalanche

Remote skier trigger (10-15ft from downhill skiing track) occurred @10,000ft on short, steep slope (35-40 degrees) with a NE aspect. Failure propagated approximately 700ft horizontally along the convexity of the slope at an average depth of 1-2ft (failed at ground). The soft slab ran vertically approximately 50-100ft on average.
