Entered upper skier's right--the safest possible entry from the upper Sam's headwall. Skier one triggered a large cracking settlement on his third fast-paced, fall line turn and continued downslope to the skier's right safe zone. 70' directly downslope from initial settlement a medium sized pocket slab broke out and was approx. 60' wide, 4' deep and ran about 90' vertical. There were no signs of collapsing or settlements during the entire ascent. Heavy storm loading. Great skiing, but the snowpack is currently delicate and needs some alone time. Be Safe!
