Snowpack

Settling storm slab on all aspects. Radiation on south and southwest aspects should shut down storm slab concerns there, but the crusts below are still collapsing under the weight of recent snow. Dug on a south facing slope at 10,500'. ECTP down 40cm on large (2mm), still sharp facets above a melt-freeze crust. ECTP on this facet later. Measured 3.2" SWE above that interface.

Avalanche

So many avalanches. Widespread cycle of D2's on all aspects near and above treeline, and shady terrain below treeline. Approximately 50 avalanches observed.
