Weather

North winds easily blowing and drifting snow into gullies, catchments and cross-loading terrain features. Spin drifting off steep cliffs. Bannering off alpine peaks.

Snowpack

Slightly more than a meter deep near treeline. Some wind effect snow surfaces near treeline from New Years wind and Jan 2/3 winds. Above treeline crowns of avalanches indicate the clear visual of the Wind Slab interfaces from our flipping wind events.

Avalanche

Numerous avalanches noted in the Telluride zone. From SW-NE. One slide on NE actually observed off Sheep mountain around 12:30 Jan 3rd during wind event.
