Weather
Clear, cold in morning and warming to a beautiful day around 30 degrees. No wind.
Snowpack
On west aspects found 80cm HS below tree line with one test producing CTHQ2 at 60cm on surface hoar and second test producing CTMQ1 non planar at 20cm in depth Hoar 3mm. Numerous whumping and cracking observed, even after 7-8 people on skin track on west aspects below and at tree line. It was more pronounced as there was more trees that harbored previous snow. Above tree line on west snowpack was shallow at times showing grass on ridge lines and did not experience signs of instability. Skied SW 30 degrees, good skiing.
Avalanche
Found old avalanches that ran likely Friday on mostly N through E Facing terrain all elevations. Seemingly on slopes 35 degrees or more. Unknown if Silverton mountain was bombing but naturals certainly occurred.
