Broken to overcast skies with filtered sunshine through stratus at times. Temperature was cold in the low 20s with steady and moderate West wind.

4-6" of new snow overlying very weak, large grained depth hoar sitting on a rough melt-freeze crust. Snow depth 40 cm / 16"
