Snowpack
Test profile- HS 115 cm measured at 11,000 on N aspect near top of Bonito Pass. Ground-15 cm FC 1F hardness up to 5 mm. 15-55 cm from ground P hardness RG. 55-115 cm 4F hardness. CTN and ECTX. Snowmobiling conditions were very good! We did observe surface hoar up to 7mm in size on N and E aspects from 10,000-11,000 feet.
Avalanche
1 small loose wet observed just out of parking lot on very rocky steep W aspect at 9,200 feet. Very shallow snow on this face. Guessing this occurred 12-21 or 12-22. Observed an older avalanche from a far distance above treeline on an E aspect roughly 2 miles south of Campo Molino. Appears to have been a wind slab. Unsure of time of activity.
