Weather

The wind was ramping up as I left but there was a nice southeast breeze with minor gusts and above-freezing temperatures. Partly cloudy skies to start the day yet increasing and obscuring the sunshine as the wind started to pick up locally around 2 pm.

Snowpack

Digging down 120 cm revealed a right-side up snowpack. However, a dust layer 45 cm down is concerning with a moderate shovel shear result in the upper portion of the brown snow though no concerning results with compression tests.
