Weather
Sunny, 24 degrees, very light to no winds. 10,200 feet traveling along east/west oriented Huntsman's ridge just past Hayes Point with suspect slope facing north.
Snowpack
Recent snow from previous 36 hours of 10-12". Significant collapsing and cracking of snowpack while traveling up to and on the ridge on low angle southerly aspects and flat ground. Evidence of wind along the ridge in any open places. No snow pit was dug.
Avalanche
Two remote triggered avalanches from 20+ feet away while traveling along the ridge at 10,200 feet. Skinned through an open flat area with some noted wind affect. Snow collapsed and crack formed 10 feet away and propagated into the cornice. Cornice broke and avalanche ran on northerly aspects through sparsely treed glades to the valley floor of Hayes Creek. In some places it ran to the ground.
