Weather

Cool, showery and calm. No snow accumulation today despite light snowfall in the morning.

Snowpack

While very welcome, the new snow did not do much to change the snowpack beyond a much-needed surface refresh. The snowpack remains, much as it has been: overall weak structure below treeline, with decreasing signs of instability (no cracking or collapsing today). New snow averaged 3" with some deeper localized drifting near treeline. I did not go above treeline, but snow overnight came in with little wind, so I imagine it is now disguising firm wind affected snow from the weekend's strong northerly wind event.
