Weather
Moderate west wind all morning moving snow onto east aspects. Bits of clearing skies and warming temps to near freezing level at 10,000. East-south aspects saw sun and warming snow.
Snowpack
40cm of storm snow was being transported onto east aspects and quickly warming/settling on NTL/BTL slopes. Perfect conditions for rapid cohesion of the new snow. Localized cracking and collapsing observed.
Avalanche
Multiple natural D1-1.5 persistent slab avalanches observed in areas of recently wind loaded (east) slopes with previously shallow and weak snowpack (near treeline).
