Weather
Few clouds and little wind to start the day. Moderate winds on the ridge. In the afternoon slowly became overcast and moderate snow began around 3PM. Moderately cold temps.
Snowpack
New snow from past week of storms made for great skiing. No instabilities were observed below treeline, but a couple of moderate whumpfs/collapses were felt in isolated wind loaded patches above treeline. E facing pit below treeline showed a fairly cohesive slab interspersed with thin 4F layers. Compression test failed on one of those 4F layers with 21 taps. ECTP result on the depth hoar layer with 30 taps.
