Weather
Below treeline---Light snow. Calm winds. Temperatures in the mid 20's
Snowpack
New snow totals increased as elevation was gained. 3-6 inches of snow fell in the area in the past 24 hours. Warm temperatures quickly warmed and settled the new snow on slopes below 11,000 feet but slopes remain colder above. Looking at the snowpack below treeline the well developed layer of facets (January 22) below the snow from the end of January remains reactive in snowpack tests. It is getting harder to trigger propagation but results are consistent on slopes were a 1 finger slab sits above fist hard facets.
Avalanche
No new avalanche activity observed.
