Muddy conditions

Hiked from Sombrio to Botanical along the Juan de Fuca Trail with a high school class from May 8-11.
Encountered very muddy conditions after 2 days of rain, much of the stairs and boardwalks in very poor conditions, (don’t step on any nails) leading to lots of slips and falls.
Lots of seals, eagles, and mink.
