Light snow. Moderate to strong Northwesterly winds near treeline. Light winds below treeline.
Snowpack
8 to 12 inches of fresh blower powder atop a supportive melt freeze crust. Isolated drifts 2 to 3 feet deep. Isolated cracking in the top few centimes of the snow was observed. We released a very small isolated storm slab on the ascent. We observed cross loading on south east aspect in the start zone. We avoided this wind deposited snow and ski cut the North was aspect of the start zone. Ski cuts on east and northeast near treeline convex rollovers produced no results.
