Weather
Skies ranged from BKN to OVC with light snow most of the time I was out. Snowfall intensity was generally S-1, but occasionally periods of S1 were observed. Temps were cold, but when the sun would poke through the clouds it definitely felt warmer than the temps would indicate.
Snowpack
Where I dug and traveled, there were about 4" of snow from the last 24hrs sitting on top of recent storm snow from the previous couple of days. This sits on top of a stout melt-freeze crust. Aside from today's new snow, the snowpack was moist to the ground, with a couple of buried ice layers intermixed between melt forms. See snow pit profile for more details.
