Scattered clouds, wuss whiteouts, spots of sun, spots of extended cloud cover. elevation of crown was 12,0000, ran 1000 +/- feet down.

Snowpack

On the day we traveled the snowpack had been centered and reported at low avalanche danger according to caic. It was a cohesive slab to the ground. Assume this avalanche debris field we came across was during the historic avalanche cycle.

Avalanche

Avalanche was 1/2 mile to 3/4 mile wide at the top/ crown. ran to valley floor and back up other side of valley 50 to 150 yards. elevation of crown was 12,0000, ran 1000 +/- feet down. Wet slab slides occurred in the north east, east, southeast and west aspects.
