At 10 to noon On S aspect the snow surface was wet down to 2-4 cm from the surface, but supportive with a CR layer at about 30 cm from the surface. Snow depth was about 2 m deep at TL, with wet grains down to 30 cm (the CR layer) with moist RD grains underneath. The snowpack on N aspect at >= TL was between 1 to 2.5 m deep. The snowpack was still dry with the top 30 cm is in early stages of transition from dry to moist. A thin slab was breaking under skies in area of recent wind loading. However, this slab is not reactive, it may get reactive with more load. See snowpit for more details.
