Weather

Clear skies and warm, temperatures hit the freezing mark around 10:00 am near treeline. Winds were relatively light from the northwest with an occasional gust strong enough to drift recent snow.

Snowpack

Overnight winds built very shallow wind slabs near ridgeline on south and east facing slopes near and above treeline. I was able to kick some fresh cornice chunks onto the slabs with no results. At 10:30 am, southeast facing slopes were beginning to feel punchy in areas with less than 1.5 meters of snowpack.
