Weather
It was a scorcher out there today with the only wind being a slight breeze at ridgetop. Alpine basins were very warm. About 2 inches of recent storm snow in this area with wind drifted areas holding less than 6 inches of new snow.
Snowpack
No signs of any instability except for very small loose wet avalanches out of steep and rocky southeast-facing terrain. The top inch or so of snow was moist on all sunny slopes even above treeline but there was barely any rollerballing or signs of wet instability. No signs of any reactive wind slabs from the last storm as well.---Beneath the few inches of snow is very hard surfaces, from hard wind-packed on northerly to hard old melt-freeze crusts on sunny slopes. It would be very difficult to affect any layers below.
Avalanche
With good visibility and a lot of terrain covered there was no evidence of any significant avalanche activity, past or present.
