Snowpack

The alpine north terrain in this area saw a widespread "sluff" cycle out of the last storm, most likely early on Tuesday during the high precip rates. Very few slabs noted though. We did not spend much time on above treeline northerly terrain but where we could there was 25-35cm new snow on a hard wind slab which sits on facets. Any aspect with a southerly twist is beginning to get the classic crust/facet layering and slowly gaining volume. If we see 12"+ out of the next storm the southerly aspects will start to become an issue. Below treeline is not reactive as it was a couple weeks ago. The warm temps most likely helped settle, though the structure is still very weak and most likely will not handle a large or fast load.
