Weather

Warm temps in the valley made snow surfaces moist but higher elevations remained cool with a light breeze. Clouds increased throughout the day and helped keep the snow surfaces dry on shady aspects.

Snowpack

When venturing off trail, there was a supportable layer that held up on most aspects. Below this, the snowpack was thin and weak all the way to the ground. Evidence of recent wind-loading was observed on north to east aspects but no natural avalanche activity had occurred.
