Snowpack
There was noticeable wind effect on the snowpack. It included wind drifted areas below and near treeline, localized cracking on wind slabs, moderate snow transport, and areas on both east and southeast aspects near treeline with height of snow (HS) that ranged from 90 to 230cm. Snow pits dug on east and southeast aspects near treeline both revealed slabs over 50cm thick ranging from knife to pencil hardness. Extended Column Tests (ECTs) on the southeast aspect both produced ECTX. A Propagation Saw Test (PST) on east aspect scored PST 90/100 (Arr) on fist hard layer at 35cm. I noticed several small wet loose avalanches on east aspect near treeline around 2pm.
