Bluebird, calm day with no noticeable wind transport anywhere including the West Elks and the Raggeds.
Snowpack
A snowpit on a low-angle, northwest-facing slope showed the upper persistent weak layer becoming less concerning although it is still worth keeping an eye on. Extended column tests on this layer showed a mix of ECTN and ECTX's while extended column tests showed propagating failures on the lower persistent weak layer between 10-20 taps (ECTP12, ECTP14).
Avalanche
Observed two small slab avalanches on wind loaded, easterly terrain on Chalk Mountain just north of Overland Reservoir
