Stormy, steady snowfall all day. Dug pit on small slope below pass at 2370m. East aspect 25º lee, wind-loaded. HS-110 SS-50. CTH24 SP. Higher at treeline we observed cornice failures, (skier triggered) on small features below rock ridges. One had a 35cm crown and ran about 20m. Anything above 30º will be very touchy right now as the storm snow from last week has slabbed up.
