Deeper persistent weak layer was still well preserved surface hoar (photo through the loup) and rounding facets. Unreactive to tests. Large well preserved surface hoar down 12cm within recent storm snow (photo on the crystal screen). Certainly worth considering next storm. South aspect was well settled, no significant weak layers obs, instead of surface hoar there is a 1cm crust down 8 cm.
