Weather
Partly cloudy skies, light winds, and mild temperatures.
Snowpack
The snowpack below treeline continues to facet and the mid-pack slab is losing cohesion. Though there is a hardness difference between the buried facets and upper layers of storm snow. It seems, as the slab below treeline becomes weaker there is less potential for propagation. Surface hoar crystals were observed and preserved on shady slopes. Long column snowpack tests on a northwest slope produced no results. ECTX x2. One collapse with surface cracking observed on a steep heavily treed slope.
Avalanche
Small natural avalanches observed on steep sunny slopes above treeline. Avalanches were triggered as snow fell of rocks.
