Weather

Blowing and light snow all morning. Warm with snow surface becoming moist below 11 000' by noon

Snowpack

East slopes near and above treeline show melt water to ground. Depth Hoar striations barely visible. Dust layer easily spotted 8-15cm below new snow. Expect this to be bed surface for loose wet avalanche activity when sun comes out. Wet slabs unlikely, although depth hoar grains larger and 4F hardness less than 1F snowpack above, leaving room for uncertainty if we see rapid increase to very warm temperatures.
