Weather
Crisp late-November day with bluebird skies and no visible blowing snow.
Snowpack
The snowpack is thin (8-10 inches) and fully faceted. Stumps, dead and down timber, and rocks are still very visible at this point in all areas along Slumgullion. Above treeline, the northerly-facing aspects are holding enough snow now to be able to produce small D2 avalanches. With very weak snow surfaces and increasing slope connectivity, any incoming storm that develops a wind or storm slab avalanche problem will deserve a bump in avalanche danger.
