Snowpack
I just wanted to share that I believe I found the PS problem to still be in existence in the Banana Bowls yesterday (4/1) at 10,500’. and Hidden Valley around 10,200’ as well. In both cases it was down about 60 to 70cm. In my snow pit yesterday in the Banana Bowls at 10,500’ CT 22 SC ECTP 23 PST 25/100 Down 70cm on 1.5 - 2mm FC (believe to be Feb/Previous Interface). In the BB, I observed the weak layer to be only about 5cm thick with 4F to 1F hard snow underneath. Hidden Valley reported the weak layer under the slab to be much larger. For me this suggests that a low probability / high consequence PS problem still exists.
