Snowpack

The lower snowpack is in various stages of transition towards spring, capped by the past week's new snow above. New snow bonded well to the old snow surface in the paths where I dug (White Lizard and Scotch Creek). So far, the incremental load has been insufficient to stress lingering weak layers deeper in the snowpack and I do not anticipate problems with the incoming storm. We may see some minor sluffing with warming this weekend into next week, but I don't expect anything to significantly affect the highway.
