Avalanche

Weather

Partial cloud cover helped ease the late-March sun. North winds helped keep temperatures cool and keep the greenhousing to a minimum.

Snowpack

Recent north winds have stripped north-facing slopes near and above treeline. Most of the drifting being lost in sublimation with very little slab development on lee slopes. North winds kept snow surfaces firm and supportive, with only the top 5 centimeters softening up on below treeline southerlies by mid-afternoon.

Avalanche

One avalanche observed in Middle Creek near the Continental Divide. Likely ran over a week ago
