Fish creek canyon 8900-8300 ft. N-NE aspect High temps without overnight freeze over the last few days have increased wet avalanche activity.

Snowpack

9500’ N aspect top of fish creek canyon pit dug on 20220327, @13:30, dug 120 cm down. 40-60 cm of recent snow decomposed precipitation and rounding of recent snow, this is sitting on a layer of facets that formed as near surface facets during the 6 week clear cold period during February. These facets are beginning to round they are 1mm in size 1F-P hardness. CT30 SC @90 down from surface. ECTX

Avalanche

Loose wet and wet slab avalanches at the bottom of fish creek on the traverse back to the resort boundary. Most activity was between 8900-8300’ N-NE aspects.
