Weather

Strong winds AM led to moderate winds with strong gusts approaching noon. Clear skies. Rapidly warming temps around 9 am.

Snowpack

Variable new snow depth, around 6-12 inches. Wind affect was obvious and led to crusts/slabs on many aspects NTL ATL. Warming throughout day made these decently fun skiing. We found stable skiing in a ESE aspect ATL.

Avalanche

Around 9-10am the sun was hitting steeper faces and causing a lot of natural loose sloughs. A small cornice fall triggered a small D1 loose dry on Taylor Glacier around 10am. We chose to ski slopes away from overhead hazards.
