Hard crust, up to 2 inches thick, on all surfaces from solar/melt/freeze. Crust was thicker at higher elevations. Cracking but no whoompfing. Minimal crack propagation and snow was overall not reactive. All crust was coated in faceted snow; pretty but terrible skiing. No powder, even in the trees. Pinwheels and dozens of sloughs (size 1/2’s) in alpine and treeline visible on adjoining slopes (west lion, david peak, James peak)
