Headed back into snake creek again today. Things had changed since Tuesday. The 10cm of new snow we received through the week was being redistributed by cranking north west winds. Reactive windslabs we’re developing on Lee features on south through east slopes. Tree line low angle terrain produced whumphs you could feel on the sled and shooting cracks. New windslabs were sitting on top of now buried surface facets from the cold snap. Alpine Lee start zones looked fat and wind loaded, given the signs of instability on low angle slopes we stayed out of avalanche terrain. Amazing sledding in the flats and low angle slopes!
