Quick report

Riding Quality
ok

See snowpack results! About 15 on variable windslab (above facets) throughout the day, even throughout all the glades. After test results we rode as high on the benches as close to forest and as far from centre of slide paths as we could, and despite the exposure to potential wind we actually had less windslab than in the trees.

Very easy CT4 SC on depth hoar about 20cm above ground. Test site was 37 degree slope at about 2150m east aspect. Just poked out the trees towards the first (northernmost) slidepath for the test. HS 140; although it's a highly variable area between scouring and loading, some spots 2m+. Snowpack at test site was virtually unconsolidated, no distinct layers, just gradual increasing facets the deeper it went. Second path went size 3+ likely on Monday
