Goal was low hazard low angle tree snoodeling for a casual day walking on skis. Walked up to lake and had some decent skiing between switchbacks on the ski back to the road. 20 cm ski pen off of a well tracked trail, low density snow in trees transitioning to increasingly dense at the lake. Multiple slab avalanche crowns/debris observed up to size 1.5, including one that broke at the base of some cliffs on a windloaded north facing slope and ran into the ice of Rummel Lake (photo). Blocky pencil hardness slab in debris.
