Avalanche

Reporting party contacted CAIC via phone to report this avalanche. The party said that they traversed out of the chute skier's right at the choke and the avalanche broke at their feet and they were not caught. The crown was around 2ft deep and ran a hundred feet or so through the timber. They did not inspect the bed surface. *NOTE* On the day of the incident, the party called Summit County Emergency Dispatch to report they triggered a slide and no one was involved. Summit County Rescue Group was notified there was no involvement and no response was needed. Summit County Rescue Group and Summit County Sheriff's Office did not investigate further knowing no one was involved.
