Temps in the low 20's. Barely any wind, some new snow from the last few days still sits in the canopy. Mostly cloudy. Light snow, trace accumulation between 8:30 am and 3:00 pm.
Snowpack
About 5" of new snow sits on top of the wind crust from Thursday (Jan 14). Weak layer beneath the wind crust failed in snow pit tests. New snow is soft and deep enough to cover up last week's concrete. 10,100 feet, NE aspect, BTL: CT 12 at 20 cm (same results from two tests) Lots of fracturing within the new snow (CT 4, 6) ECT N13 at 25 cm
