Snowpack
1 Group experienced a whumph and localized cracking on a SE NTL aspect that had previously been wind-loaded. A snow pit on a SE aspect NTL had a height of snow 135cm and a ECTP27 and CTM (sudden) on a MFCr 50cm below snow surface. 2nd Group in similar area dug a pit on a East aspect NTL. Height of snow was 84cm. ECTX CTM resistant 45cm from the ground. The snowpack here was right side up and appeared to be strong. No depth hoar was observed. Basal facets showed rounding on north and east aspects.
