A few clouds to the south of the Continental Divide were producing light snow showers. Otherwise skies were clear, temperatures were cold and winds were light
Snowpack
Last weeks storm snow is quickly faceting with cold temperatures and clear skies. The facet and crust layers that were buried by the February first storm are becoming progressively stubborn but propagating Extended Column Test results (ECTP 21-22)can still be found. Mainly on northeasterly-facing slopes near treeline, 35-45 centimeters from the surface.
Avalanche
Skier/snowboarder entered the bed surface from January 1, triggering an avalanche in the left side of Alberta's cousin. Tracks exited the path several hundred yards below and hiked up the south-facing slope back to ridgeline.
