At Least It Was Sunny

To call the snow firm is an understatement. Ski conditions were variable on a steep N facing slope. Travel is much easier on sleds and skis with the firmer wind affected surfaces but there it not much powder to enjoy. We did not see any recent avalanche activity or any signs of instability. We did notice that the afternoon sun was creating a moist surface on steep solar aspects.
